"Renew Our Resolve"

Before you start reading this, please take a minute of silence to reflect and remember the 7,000 plus victims of September 11th, and the aftermath which ensued. Grab some tissues, and cry along with me, at the injustices and for the sacrifices of all who have been effected by those terrible attacks eight years ago.

The pain I feel inside, the frustration, sadness and anger mostly overwhelming. The feeling of failure and a sense of misplaced effort consumes me everyday. But no more so am I reminded with a wind taking punch to the gut every time I see the images, or remember where I was on the morning of September 11th, 2001. That pain is a good reminder, that our freedom isn't safe, that we need to protect it, and that our enemies that threaten our preserved, sovereign union shall be vanquished with swift and might justice off the face of the earth.

Today is the anniversary of one of the most horrific atrocities to ever happen to the United States of America. As you all know, 8 years ago on this day, two planes hijacked by 15 terrorists, crashed into the World Trade Center's Twin Towers in New York City. They caught on fire, and eventually fell, killing over 2,700 Americans just in those two buildings alone. It was perhaps the most infamous attack on the United States, if not just in recent memory. At least the Japanese attacked a military base, with those who at least could defend themselves in some respect. And like the actions that proceeded that attack on December 7th, 1941, actions would be taken to bring vengeance upon those willing to disrupt and threaten our freedom. Our existence. So we mourn for years to come the innocent victims of 9/11. For the fire-fighters and police officers who courageously put themselves in harms way to try and save the victims of such heinous attacks. The imagery of it all still brings tightness to my chest, sickness to my stomach and tears to my eyes.

We made a promise to avenge the deaths of those helpless victims, and bring a swift justice to those responsible. As our President at the time made such steadfast promises, we all whole heartily agreed. We patriots, all in the right to protect our freedom, to vanquish our enemies, to keep our state sovereign, all agreed that Justice would be brought upon our foes without mercy. We shall avenge all those who perished on that day!

Where did we go wrong? Define swift justice.

Eight years to the day, we have yet to make those responsible pay for our suffering. Those responsible have not answered fairly for what they have done to you, to me, to our nation. Fairness in their case is death. Al Qaeda under the direct leadership of Osama Bin Laden, the ones who've claimed their victory and our defeat on that day, are still free from the justice they deserve. Death.

Instead we are in a debacle. We are too long involved in a war that really has no bearing on bringing those individuals justice. Did we all believe that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction that could have possibly had something to do with Osama Bin Laden? Our resources have been used improperly. Why are we fighting in Iraq? I understand the desire to bring democracy to the world, by fighting tyranny and oppression and terrorism. The middle east is very unstable, and a great threat to the safety of America, as you might agree or disagree. But Iraq probably wasn't the threat, considering they can't even dispose of their own sewage or trash properly.

Meanwhile, we are losing more and more American lives in the building of a new Iraq, which will most certainly crumble as soon as well pull out. We're focused in the wrong area of this evil middle east. Why aren't we causing havoc on the home turf, the home state of Bin Laden- Saudi Arabia. I understand the prospects, the relationships we hold with the Saudis and how precious their oil is to us. Not only is Osama Bin Laden Saudi, but of those 15 hijackers, 14 of them were also Saudi.

Where does that bring us 8 years later? Without justice. We Remember, is not enough. The President Obama is right, there are no words to ease the ache of our hearts. Only perhaps actions. He was also in the right in saying that we needed to renew our resolve. He's right, because just remembering does no justice for the 7,000 plus victims of this attack and it's consequences to follow. Of those 7,000 American deaths, between the attacks on September 11th, and the so-called war on terrorism, there is one casualty unaccounted for; reverence. We have not honored fully, for those who were murdered at the hands of extremist enemies of our beloved country. We should never sit idly by and expect that someone else will be the tip of the spear that is thrust into the chests of our enemies. We all must act! We must not continue to let those responsible off the hook. We must be passionate about bringing not just a swift justice, but also a mighty vengeance upon those who have caused such immediate and overwhelming affects upon our Union.

I will never forget! I will never rest no matter how weary, until Justice is brought upon thee!
Who's with me?

Are you guys doing anything for 9/11 over there?
Everything we do over here is for 9/11.
